The Shi-Halfacre Residence is a quiet and respectful companion to its nearby neighbors within Litchfield Plantation. The house demonstrates how a home in a traditional community can adapt to the modern needs and technology of a contemporary couple who live an intellectually stimulating life. The house also demonstrates how a structure can be placed into a community that pays homage to the rich culture and environment in which it resides, in an optimum and sustainable manner.
